  • Road from Faversham (19.0 miles)
    M2 East Bound towards Whitstable and Ramsgate. Continue on M2 to merge with A299. In 5.5 miles take exit A291 Herne Bay and Canterbury. At roundabout take 3rd exit towards Canterbury, at 2nd roundabout take 2nd towards Canterbury entering the village of Herne. At the mini roundabout in the centre of the village, Post Office and church to your right take the first exit left onto School Lane. In 0.3 miles Lime Tree Cottage is on your right behind a large green hedge and just opposite Mill Lane.
  • Road from Canterbury (7.0 miles)
    Take the A28 road out of Canterbury towards Sturry and Margate. At Sturry after crossing the level crossing take the first turning left, A291, straight up the hill. In 4.5 miles you'll enter the village of Herne. At the mini roundabout in the centre of the village, with the church to your left take the 2nd exit right onto School Lane. In 0.3 miles Lime Tree Cottage is on your right behind a large green hedge and just opposite Mill Lane.
  • Bus from Canterbury (7.0 miles)
    At Canterbury Bus statin take the Triangle Bus number 6. The preferred stop in Herne is Woodrow Chase. Exiting at that stop look down the hill and you'll see Lime Tree Cottage at the end of the road behind a large green hedge. If Woodrow Chase is not available due to the bus route exit the bus at Herne Church. From there we are a short walk up School Lane to Broomfield Road. School Lane is the road between The Smugglers and Butchers Arms pubs on the other side of the road to your bus stop.
  • Train from London (62.0 miles)
    Trains to Herne Bay depart from both London Victoria and St Pancras. At Herne Bay take the bus to Canterbury, Bus stop is just out side the rail station. The preferred stop in Herne is Woodrow Chase. Exiting at that stop look down the hill and you'll see Lime Tree Cottage at the end of the road behind a large green hedge. If Woodrow Chase is not available due to the bus route exit the bus at Herne Church. From there we are a short walk up School Lane to Broomfield Road.

    At Herne Bay take the bus to Canterbury on the triangle route. The preferred stop is Woodrow Chase. Exiting at that stop look down the hill and you'll see Lime Tree Cottage at the end of the road behind a large green hedge. If Woodrow Chase is not available due to the bus route exit the bus at Herne Church. From there we are a short walk up School Lane to Broomfield Road. School Lane is the road between The Smugglers and Butchers Arms pubs on your side of the road just before bus stop.
